Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 update is now rolling out

You might think we are already in May as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 starts rolling out. Samsung has both devices on the May release plan, but the rollout has been pushed forward, albeit only in select regions.

Samsung plans to finalize the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update around June. A handful of phones will get the upgrade that time, but the 2022 Foldables were not supposed to get the update until next month. And just like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Fold 4 is now getting the much-anticipated upgrade.

Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 7 to these devices in its home country. The duo was expected to get the upgrade next month, but that could be for other regions. At the time of this report, only units sold in South Korea are getting an upgrade to Android 15 with stable One UI 7.

The update is rolling out with version number F721NKSU6HYD9 and weighs about 4.3 GB. You might consider using Wi-Fi to install the build. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete changelog but expect some UI tweaks and optimization. There might be a few AI introductions and other features.

Meanwhile, the update bumps the Android security patch level to April 2025. It resolved over 40 security vulnerabilities to improve the security of the device. We recommend installing the upgrade when prompted, or you can manually check for it.

How to download Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 update

Samsung has stopped sending a notification when a new update is available for download. You need to go into Settings>>System updates>>Download and install to download the update. There is a chance you will not see it, and that’s fine, as OTAs take time to arrive for all eligible phones.

It’s possible the upgrade has not arrived in your region yet or a wider rollout has not started. In any case, we recommend checking back after a few days. Additionally, it will allow time for early adopters to review the build, ensuring there are no issues.

Meanwhile, if you have managed to install the update on your device, you can leave feedback for others to either download or ignore the upgrade.
