Here are the smartphones receiving the latest Android OS and security patch update.

  • Xiaomi starts testing Android 16 publicly based on HyperOS 2

Xiaomi starts testing Android 16 publicly based on HyperOS 2

Xiaomi was one of the first smartphone makers to release stable Android 15 after the official release by Google back in October 2024. The Chinese company is expected to lead the charge with Android 16, and they seem to be doing just that. With Android 16-based HyperOS 2 publicly available, the company has become just a few companies to start the testing.

Google has changed the release model of the new Android OS upgrade. They usually start beta release after the yearly I/O event where they announce new features coming to Android. This year, a beta update arrived in January as the company targets a June 2025 release. The idea is for new Pixel phones to arrive with the latest OS. That also means older phones will get the new OS on time, including Xiaomi phones.

According to the Weibo post by Xiaomi Surge OS, the Chinese company has started the public testing of the upcoming OS. The beta preview is currently limited to the Chinese units and only two devices are eligible.

Android 16-based HyperOS 2 public beta preview

Xiaomi has released Android 16-based HyperOS 2 build for the Xiaomi 15 and Redmi K70 Ultra. The latter is known as Xiaomi 14T Pro globally, meaning the global release might soon commence. We understand the latest build is based on Android 16 beta 2.

While the build can be installed by anyone with an eligible phone and Android 16 beta 2 is quite stable, it’s still a beta build. Also, it is based on HyperOS 2, which might need time to adapt to the newest Android OS. Hence, we do not recommend installing the build on a daily driver and if you must do so, ensure to back your data before proceeding.

How to install Android 16-based HyperOS 2 on your Xiaomi phone

Android 16-based HyperOS 2 public preview

Xiaomi has released the build in the Chinese Mi community. You can access the ROM there and guide on how to flash it. Again, the build is exclusive to Chinese ROM users, it will not work on your global phones. We expect the global release in the coming days, but if you are using the Chinese units eligible, visit the source link.

While Xiaomi is previewing Android 16 with HyperOS 2, we expect the final release to arrive with HyperOS 3. There is limited news about the next iteration of HyperOS, but we believe work is going on internally. It will be easy to move over when the build is ready. That means we are still months before the stable release, but you can join the beta preview if you cannot wait.

  • Stable One UI 7 starts rolling out but might arrive on your device in June

Stable One UI 7 starts rolling out but might arrive on your device in June

As expected, Samsung has released the stable One UI 7 update. The rollout is exclusive to Korean units, and only a handful of eligible phones have received the update. We expect an expansion to other regions in the coming days, but some phones might get upgraded in June.

Samsung has released a stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy 24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Fold SE. The rollout is in batches to contain any issues that might arise, but so far, the build seems smooth. There is no report of a bug that might cause a delay in the rollout, but some devices still would not get the update in the coming weeks.

It has been over five months since Google released a stable Android 15 update. The company plans to release stable Android 16 in June when most Samsung phones will start getting Android 15. The current release is exclusive to the latest flagship phones, with older models looking at a May/June release time frame

Stable One UI 7 release plan

Samsung stable One UI 7 update starts rolling out

Samsung has started rolling out the much-anticipated update. The update brings Android 15 but only to a handful of phones. The majority of Samsung phones eligible for the upgrade will receive it in June, which is when Google plans to release Android 16. Meanwhile, if you are using the Galaxy S24, you can check for it, while other device users should check the list below for when the device will start getting a stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update.

April stable One UI 7 release plan

Samsung plans to upgrade its latest flagship phones and tablets this month. The Galaxy S24 series is already getting the update, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The Galaxy Tab S10+/S10 Ultra will also get it.

    • April: Galaxy S24/S24+/S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold Special Edition, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Tab S10+/S10 Ultra, S23/S23+/S23 Ultra, S24 FE

May stable One UI 7 release plan

Samsung will upgrade the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 3 to Android 15 in May.

    • May: Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S9/S9+/S9 Ultra, S23 FE, Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, A34, A35, S22/S22+/S22 Ultra, Tab S8/S8+/S8 Ultra, S21/S21+/S21 Ultra, Galaxy A16, Galaxy Quantum 5, Galaxy Quantum 4
    • June: Galaxy Tab S9 FE/S9 FE+, Galaxy A73, A53, A33, A25, A24, A15, Quantum 3, Jump 3, Jump 2, Buddy 3, Galaxy Tab A9/A9+, Tab Active 5, Tab Active 4 Pro, Wide 7

Meanwhile, the release plan was posted for the Korean region, but it should be the same time frame for other countries. We expect those in Europe, Asia, America, and the UK to start getting the upgrade in the coming days. Hopefully, there won’t be any setback to the release, as it has been months since users started expecting the big release.

We expect a swift release, given the time it took to preview these builds before they started rolling out. Also, Google is already working on the next iteration of Android OS, which has been rumored to come pre-installed with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung will launch these phones in June, meaning they are already working on Android 16. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait like we did with One UI 7.

  • Samsung Android 16-based One UI 8 to arrive in July

Samsung Android 16-based One UI 8 to arrive in July

Samsung has yet to start rolling out the latest Android 15 upgrade to eligible users. The company’s phones with the much-anticipated upgrade are the ones that debuted running the current OS. However, it looks like things will be entirely different with Android 16-based One UI 8, which might launch in Q3 2025.

We are all disappointed that Samsung has not released One UI 7 yet, but that is due to some changes. Nevertheless, the update will start rolling out tomorrow with the Galaxy S24 series. As expected, the late release will not affect the development of One UI 8. It turns out Samsung is already developing the build for its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 devices.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 to run Android 16-based One UI 8 outside of the box

If you have been following Samsung, you will know that the new Galaxy Z series phones debut with One UI x.1.1 build. While that will not happen this year since Samsung has canceled the release of One UI 7.1.1, probably due to the delays in rolling out stable One UI 7, the duo will supposedly debut with One UI 8.

One UI 8 will be based on Android 16, and we already spotted a new build on Samsung servers. It’s not surprising that Samsung is already planning for the release with the upcoming Galaxy Z series. Nevertheless, it will probably be a half-baked build, like they did with the Galaxy S25, which has yet to get all the features of One UI 7.

Android 16-based One UI 8 launch date

Google will release a stable Android 16 build in June or July. That is probably when Pixel users get the update and a possible release to AOSP. With the beta build already available, we believe Samsung is working with that to test their system apps. It will be easy to pre-install the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 with the build.

If that is the case, Samsung will release One UI 8 in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 arrived on July 10, 2024, and we expect the same time frame for the successor. Nevertheless, since beta tests can be complicated, there might be delays, but it seems very likely Samsung will release Android 16 on time this year.

One UI 8 beta program for Samsung users

Usually, there will be a beta program for older phones just like we are witnessing with the One UI 7. However, we cannot say when, as there is a beta program going on. Only developers are testing the One UI 8 beta build, which will arrive for eligible users later in the year.

Samsung will probably open the beta program for One UI 8 after the I/O 2025 event scheduled for May 20 and 21. Google uses the event to talk and showcase all the changes coming to Android. That is usually when beta updates are released, but we have seen them earlier due to recent changes.

  • Android Auto gaming requirements to play games on car’s display

Android Auto gaming requirements to play games on car’s display

Before the release of Android Auto 14.1, which supposedly triggered Games support, Google already made the announcement. However, the company didn’t say the gaming requirements or say when the feature will be available. Interestingly, the latest beta release didn’t bring support for Games, and the requirements are more than installing the latest build.

After users started seeing Games on their Android Auto when connected, we believed it was triggered by the Android Auto 14.1 beta build. It turns out both are not tied together. Those running stable Android Auto 14.0 are seeing supported games on their infotainment screen. Google has now clarified while providing requirements for games on Android Auto.

    Android Auto Gaming Requirements

Because most people start seeing support for Games after installing Android Auto 14.1, we thought the support arrived with the build. It turns out that was not the case. According to Google via folks at 9to5Google, the latest beta build is not a requirement to start playing games on your car’s display. We understand many people are seeing support on stable Android Auto 14.0, which is now widely available.

You would expect support to be tied to the Android Auto version, but it’s based on your device’s operating system. Currently, you need Android 8+ to run Android Auto on your device. However, you need Android 15+ if you want to play games while your vehicle is put in park. Hence, if you are running the latest stable build, and on Android 15 OS, there’s a possibility to play games.

Works with compatible apps and games. Requires compatible mobile device running on Android 15+. Vehicle’s touch screen must be compatible with Android Auto. Vehicle must be in park to play. Sequences shortened and simulated.

How to play games on Android Auto using the car’s display

There are no extra downloads or things you need to do before you can play games. However, the car needs to be fully parked before supported games become active. While the car is in motion, the games are blacked out until you put the vehicle in park. Only a few cars are supported, but we expect a wider availability in the coming weeks.

Google likely introduced this feature with the intention of helping people pass the time while their vehicle is parked. While the idea is commendable and serves its purpose, it’s only a matter of time before someone figures out how to bypass the in-motion restriction. If that happens, it could undermine the whole concept and potentially endanger lives—especially if drivers start playing games while driving.

  • POCO F5 receives Android 15 with a stable HyperOS 2 update

POCO F5 receives Android 15 with a stable HyperOS 2 update

Xiaomi might be rolling out the HyperOS 2.2 update, but they have not finalized the initial release. A few devices are still waiting for the upgrade, which was the case with the POCO F5 unit until now. The device has started getting the much-anticipated upgrade, which brings a new Android OS.

POCO F5 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update in Europe

    POCO F5 HyperOS 2

The POCO F5 Android 15 update is rolling out in Europe for select users. They are known as Mi Pilot members, and their job is to preview new builds before they are released to the public. Depending on their feedback, the update might be halted, and a new one developed.

There have been a few cases since HyperOS 2 started rolling out. An update is stopped due to a bug, and a new build starts seeding to resolve the problem and ultimately arrives, as a first release for some people. Since the POCO F5 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update just started rolling out, we cannot confirm if there have been any serious issues.

Nevertheless, the feedback has been good so far. The update doesn’t seem to be causing any damage, according to early adopters. If you are a better tester, you should check for the new update and install it. Do not forget to back up your files before installing the upgrade.

Details of POCO F5 HyperOS 2 update in Europe

    POCO F5 Android 15-based HyperOS 2

The update is rolling out with version number OS2.0.1.0. VMREUXM and weighs 5.6GB. It brings the Alive Design Philosophy, Xiaomi HyperCore, and HyperConnect. As expected, the Xiaomi HyperAI is missing, and we do not expect it to arrive with future updates.

Meanwhile, performance has improved, while a few bugs are resolved. Also, security has been enhanced and coupled with the March 2025 security patch, which comes with the update, a few security vulnerabilities were patched.

To download the update, you should go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates. You should have a new update waiting to be downloaded if you are part of the Mi Pilot program. Otherwise, wait for a public release, which will start in the coming days.

When is Global POCO F5 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 rolling out?

There is no official release date, but we expect the rollout to start within two weeks. Unless there is a serious bug in the latest build, other regions will start getting the upgrade in the coming days. Nevertheless, you can check the updater app to see if the update has arrived for your device.

Meanwhile, it might be the last major upgrade for the device that launched in June 2023. So far, Xiaomi has released two OS upgrades, and with the latest release, they might not release another Android upgrade. The device will continue getting security patch updates till June 2026.

  • Samsung Android 16-based One UI 8 is already in the works

Samsung Android 16-based One UI 8 is already in the works

Samsung has yet to release the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 for eligible devices, but that has not slowed down its development of the next OS. Recent reports suggest an early release due to delays with the current Android version, and new evidence indicates that Samsung is already working on Android 16-based One UI 8.

Google has adopted a new development model for Android 16 and later OS updates. Going forward, a new iteration will arrive around June. The move is to ensure all new Pixel phones debut with the latest OS. That probably affected Samsung’s release schedule, as they had to ditch One UI 7.1.1. Perhaps they will now release only a single major upgrade every year, meaning the Android 16-based One UI 8 update will arrive early.

Samsung Plans for the Android 16-based One UI 8

Samsung Android 16-based One UI 8

Google has already released Android 16 beta updates, which is when other smartphones start testing the build. While Samsung has not announced it publicly, we understand the tech company is developing the build internally. They are probably previewing it as a new device has popped up on the Benchmark website with Android 16.

    Android 16 stable release date

The plan is to release stable Android 16 in June, early enough for the Pixel 10 series to debut with it. That means early release for other OEMs, like Samsung, and given the latest report, there is a chance the update will arrive before the end of 2025.

Given the time it has taken Samsung to preview One UI 7, probably due to the changes the update will bring, One UI 8 will likely be a tad upgrade. Perhaps it will focus on optimization and a few features to enhance users’ experience.

Meanwhile, it’s the Galaxy S25 that has been spotted running Android 16 on the Geekbench benchmark database. It’s an internal build, meaning only developers have access to it. That shows the development has started, but it will still take months before we see the final build. Of course, we expect things to be different with One UI 8, with a Q4 release time frame very likely.

Currently, only the S25 Android 16 build has been spotted, which makes sense since the device debuted with the Android 15-based One UI 7 build. Since Samsung is not rolling out a point upgrade this year, it’s straight to the next major release, which has now commenced for the device.

Samsung phones to receive Android 16 (One UI 8)

Samsung offers seven years of Android OS support, starting from the Galaxy S24. Hence, the device will receive Android 16 as well as Galaxy S25, which arrived a few months ago. You would expect the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 to get the update. Also, a few Galaxy A-series and Tab S-series devices are eligible for Android 16.

Galaxy S Smartphones eligible for Android 16 (One UI 8)

    • Galaxy S24 Series
    • Galaxy S23 Series
    • Galaxy S22 Series
    • Galaxy S21 FE
    • Galaxy S23 FE
    • Galaxy S24 FE

Galaxy Z Fold and Flip Phones eligible for Android 16 (One UI 8)

    • Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6
    • Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5
    • Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4

Galaxy A Phones eligible for Android 16 (One UI 8)

    • Galaxy A33, A53 and A73
    • Galaxy A15, A25, A35 and A55
    • Galaxy A14, A24, A34 and A54
    • Galaxy A06, A16

Galaxy Tab Tablets eligible for Android 16 (One UI 8)

    • Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra
    • Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra
    • Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra.

Of course, the list is not comprehensive nor is it official. We expect an official announcement when the build is ready, so we are still a few months away from the release. Nevertheless, if your device was released last year, it will get an upgrade to Android 16 with One UI 8.

  • Android Auto 14.1 update brings support for Games

Android Auto 14.1 update brings support for Games

We have seen many Android Auto updates in the last few months. Each release has hinted on the coming of Game support to the App. With Android Auto 14.1 beta update, it has now become possible. Although still in beta, you can play select Android games on your car’s display.

Before the announcement a few weeks ago, there have been reports that Android Auto will support Android games on the car’s display. With Android Auto 14.1, the tech company has officially started rolling out support for select games to select users.

According to folks on 9to5Google, two Android games – Angry Birds 2 and Beach Buggy Racing were both available to play, but only when the vehicle was parked. The game closes and grays out within the app drawer and the app switcher once the vehicle goes out of Park. As you would expect, the Gaming support feature is exclusive to beta testers.

Luckily, you can install the beta build and test these new features. The update is available via the Play Store but we doubt you will see it especially if you are not part of the beta program. Luckily, you can join the beta program using this link or download the APK file here.

    Android Auto 14.1 beta update

Meanwhile, while both games tested on Android Auto performed well, Google does not seem to be asking for optimization for cars from developers. A few controls you would expect to see on phones were present in the car like, “tilt.” Considering everything is still new, and in beta, Google has done a good job. Both games run smoothly and we expect further optimization in subsequent updates.

Games you can play on Android Auto 14.1

    • Farm Heroes Saga
    • Candy Crush Soda Saga
    • Angry Birds 2
    • Beach Buggy Racing

We expect the list to expand in the coming weeks. We hope to learn more about the availability in the coming weeks, but it depends heavily on how the testing goes. Currently, only those running Android Auto 14.1 beta update can see the game’s support. If everything goes as planned, more people will be able to play games when their cars are parked in the next few weeks.

In addition to Games, Android Auto 14.1 has changed app behavior. Apps are now entirely fullscreen. You can swipe from the top of the screen, depending on your vehicle to force the Exit button to show up.

There are a few other changes, but not yet live. A supposed change is coming to the language for calendar pickers, but unsure where they will show up with Android Auto.

  • Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 release plan: features, phones, and release date

Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 release plan: features, phones, and release date

HyperOS is the official Android skin on Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones. Having switched from MIUI in the last few months, the Chinese company keeps working to optimize and improve the OS’s stability. They are currently rolling out a point upgrade, but that has not stopped the development of HyperOS 2.2.

    Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 update plan

The idea of HyperOS is to achieve seamless networking among all Xiaomi products. Thanks to the HyperConnect that debuted with HyperOS 2, the company has achieved so much in the front. It is now also possible to transfer files with an iOS device.

Animation is something Xiaomi has tried to improve with the last few updates. In HyperOS 2.1, there were improvements in closing and opening app animation. Further improvements have been made in HyperOS 2.2, showing it is an area the company is working to refine more.

The plan with HyperOS 2.2 is to bring optimization, improve stability, introduce new features, and resolve bugs. Unfortunately, the build is currently in beta testing, with only Chinese users having access to it. It will take a few weeks before it arrives on a stable channel, probably when the global rollout will commence.

    HyperOS 2.2 update global release

    Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 update

Although the update introduces some improvements and new features, Xiaomi does not consider it a major release. As a result, the company has not announced a rollout plan. Moreover, since it is likely restricted to premium devices, listing eligible models would be unnecessary. This is merely a minor upgrade that brings select features from the latest flagship phones to older models.

That said, there is no official timeframe for the HyperOS 2.2 update global release. However, we expect the rollout to commence once the beta preview is complete. Currently, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are testing the build, which is based on Android 15.

Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 update release: features

Xiaomi is making improvements to animations, especially the effect when “entering the secondary page of an application.” There are new sets of fingerprint-unlocking animations and more.

    System Animation

    • Optimized the interruption animation effect when entering a secondary page within an app.
    • Improved the animation effect when switching between apps.
    • Enhanced the animation effect when closing apps in landscape mode.

    System

    • Added support for blurred desktop wallpapers.
    • Updated some classic page styles.

    Lock Screen

    • Optimized the New Oriental aesthetic lock screen template.
    • Added support for customizable fingerprint unlock animations, including butterfly, light wave, and vortex effects.

    System Navigation

    • Optimized shortcut function access in the system navigation mode settings.

    Status Bar & Notification Bar

    • Added support for custom display optimizations for certain status bar icons.
    • Improved the expansion of custom notifications.
    • The “Signal HD” icon is no longer permanently displayed in the status bar.

Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 update: phones to receive it

Unfortunately, there is no official list of devices that will receive the update. Nonetheless, we understand that most premium phones will get the upgrade. Perhaps Xiaomi is bringing some Xiaomi 15 series features to older phones.

So far, only Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro have an OS2.2 build in the beta channel. We do not know when the stable build will become available, but we hope it will be in two weeks. Hopefully, that will open the gate for more devices to receive the update.

Update: 25/03/2025: HyperOS 2.2 Global release

Xiaomi has started the global HyperOS 2.2 update release process. Currently, the build is in beta, meaning only a few users have access to it. A build with version number OS2.0.200.1. VOCEUXM has been spotted on the company’s servers. Nonetheless, it is still early days but the rollout will commence soon.

  • Android Auto 14 stable update is now rolling out

Android Auto 14 stable update is now rolling out

Android Auto is an app developed by Google that allows you to connect your phone to your car’s display. It provides a simplified interface for using apps like Maps for navigation, audio, and messaging apps while driving.

Google has improved Android Auto via software updates that add new features and optimize performance. With Android Auto 14 stable, the tech company is making new tweaks while optimizing performance and resolving bugs.

What is changing on the Android Auto 14 stable update

    Android Auto 14 stable APK

Before the new features, Google hinted at new changes coming to Android Auto. Few of these additions have been discovered, thanks to APK tear-downs. We know the app will soon allow users to access local drives and access radio stations without leaving the app. The latest change, announced by Google themselves, is the replacement of Google Assistant with Gemini Live.

    Google said,

Over the coming months, we’re upgrading more users on mobile devices from Google Assistant to Gemini; and later this year, the classic Google Assistant will no longer be accessible on most mobile devices.

    The search giant also added:

Additionally, we’ll be upgrading tablets, cars, and devices that connect to your phone, such as headphones and watches, to Gemini. We’re also bringing a new experience, powered by Gemini, to home devices like speakers, displays, and TVs. We look forward to sharing more details with you in the next few months. Until then, Google Assistant will continue to operate on these devices.

For the first time, the Gemini Live code has been added to Android Auto source code. It means it can now be activated after installing the latest version of the app. However, it’s not active yet, but we expect it to go live soon. When it becomes available for users, a prompt will walk you through the new features as a first-time user.

Unfortunately, the minimum OS requirement for installing Android Auto might change due to the new assistant. Gemini Live requires a minimum of 2GB of RAM and Android OS 10 or later. Perhaps not everyone will be getting the AI assistant, but since the traditional one is going extinct, they might just need some time to optimize it for lower-end vehicles.

New Features Spotted in Android Auto 14 stable

    • Temperature and AC control: you can control the temperature of your car from Android Auto without leaving the app
    • Windshield defrost: enhances driver’s experience in cold conditions
    • New Map (Here We Go Maps)
    • Bug fixes and optimization: As always, every new Android Auto update includes a load of fixes. If you are experiencing any issues with the app, we recommend installing the latest update.

Download Android Auto 14 stable APK

Google is rolling out the Android Auto 14 stable update via the Play Store. It has a build number of v14.0.651204. You can download the APK file from this link. Remember you can uninstall the update if you experience any issues and install an older version.

  • Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 status bar is now available

Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 status bar is now available

Xiaomi is rolling out a HyperOS2.1 upgrade to global units while testing a new build, HyperOS 2.2. The Chinese company is seeding the update to beta testers in China, but it seems stable enough, given the build numbers of the available versions. While this update does not bring user-facing changes, it made the status bar customizable.

Xiaomi has refined its Android skin, making it lighter while introducing new features to enhance user experience. With the HyperOS 2.2 status bar, users can decide the system icons that they want to see on the status bar and how many. It seems tied to HyperOS 2.2, meaning devices that are not eligible for the upgrade might not receive it.

How does the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 status bar work

    • Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 status bar
    • How to enable customizable status bar on Xiaomi phones

Meanwhile, to access the customizable status bar, head to Settings>>Notification & status bar>>Customize toggle display.

On top of your screen, you can choose a number of notification icons that will be shown. You can select none, one, or three. When you choose none, icons for any of the system apps shown below the page will not be shown on the status bar. If you decide to select one or three, icons will be limited to your selection.

Additionally, you can select the connected device icons that are displayed. They include cell phone, speaker, camera, personal computer, television and others.

Unfortunately, you cannot customize app notification from there. To hide app icons from showing up on your status bar, you need to turn off notification for the app. While you can do that, you might miss out on important notifications. Also, turning off notification for system apps might be all that good. Ensure you only disable the affect your interactions with your device.

Other features on HyperOS 2.2 update

According to reports, Xiaomi will bring the upgrade to premium devices. It is testing the features alongside other ones with Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro users. Currently, only Chinese users can participate in the preview phase, but we expect global units to get the upgrade with the new status bar.

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm eligible phones for this upgrade, as there is no official list from Xiaomi. Also, it is not being treated as a major release, and so, it is hard to predict the list. Nevertheless, we will update this post here when the upgrade starts rolling out with devices that have received the upgrade.
