  • Android Auto 14.4 stable update is now available for download

Android Auto 14.4 stable update is now available for download

It has been only a few days since Google released the beta version of the latest Android Auto update. The tech company is now pushing the build to stable users, meaning the preview was successful. At least, no major bug was detected, and you can install the update via the Play Store or download the APK file.

As usual, most Android Auto builds go to beta testers before making it to stable users. The reason has been to contain any issue, and it seems the Android Auto 14.4 does not come with any problems. You can download the stable build via the Play Store, but it might take a few days to arrive. Google is seeding the update in batches, so it will take a few days to arrive for everyone. Nonetheless, you can download the APK file using the link below and install it manually.

Details of Android Auto 14.4 stable update

    Android Auto 14.4 stable update

Google is rolling out a stable v14.2.652004 via the Play Store for everyone. It is the same as the update released to beta users, meaning there are not many changes. However, the company continues to progress in integrating climate control and heated seat buttons. We believe these options will show up on the main interface, allowing users with their controls on their touchscreen to be available from Android Auto.

While we have seen strings on previous Android Auto codes confirming these features, we still do not know when they will debut. Perhaps Google will say something about it during the I/O event in the next few days. It may be that they are tied to Android 16, but that’s unlikely. Nonetheless, it’s a matter of when and not if, and hopefully, it will start rolling out soon.

The update is available via the Play Store, and you can download it via this link. However, you might not see it, as Google is rolling out the update in batches. It will take a few days for everyone to arrive.

There is the option to install the APK file so you do not wait for a rollout from Google. Head over to this link and download the file. Then proceed to your download folder and click on it to start the installation. You might be asked to allow installation from an unknown source. Proceed.

  • Android Auto 14.4 beta update is now available for download

Android Auto 14.4 beta update is now available for download

Google has released yet another Android Auto update. The latest version comes with a build number v14.4.151944 and is exclusive to beta testers. Fortunately, you can install it manually when you download the APK file using the links below.

Android Auto 14.4 beta is rolling out via the Play Store, but only those enrolled in the beta program can see the update. The update size is 7.02MB and requires at least Android 8.0 to run smoothly. While we recommend updating the app, it is better to wait for a stable release when you are not part of the beta testers.

Details of Android Auto 14.4 beta update

    Android Auto 14.4 beta update

It is not surprising Google did not release a changelog with this update. We have to figure out what each build brings and so far, it doesn’t seem the latest update comes with any user-facing changes. Google is still prioritizing performance and bug fixes, although it would be nice to tell us the ones they have fixed. Nevertheless, we understand they are working on a few additions to arrive with subsequent releases.

Google is planning new changes for Android Auto. The company wants users to control their vehicle straight from the app without leaving the app. These include controlling the vehicle temperature, functions like defrosting, and seat heating. They plan to display a button on the Android Auto taskbar to allow users to do these things.

We can confirm these changes have yet to arrive and Google has remained mute on possible arrival. However, we expect to hear more about these changes and others during the I/O event coming up in the next few days. The company is expected to announce changes coming to the Android system and plans they have for Android Auto users.

While we wait for the announcement, we recommend installing the Android Auto 14.4 beta update when prompted. You can check for a new update via Play Store using this link or follow the one below to access the APK file.

How to download Android Auto 14.4 APK

You can install the APK file from this link. The size is about 31.96 MB. After downloading the file, head to your download folder to start the installation.

Tap on the file and follow the screen prompts to complete the installation.
If you are asked to allow installation from an unknown source, tap allow.
After completing the installation, launch the app.

  • One UI 8 beta: Samsung to start beta preview next month

One UI 8 beta: Samsung to start beta preview next month

Samsung had to speed up the stable One UI 7 rollout probably so they could focus on One UI 8. The Korean company is expected to release the next iteration on time compared to the current version. They have been testing the build internally, but the public beta preview might open up soon.

Google will release stable Android 16 to Pixel users next month, in time for Samsung to start a beta preview. There have been rumors of the upcoming Android OS debuting with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, and that seems to be legit, with the recent reports. Before that, Samsung plans to open the beta preview for older models, probably with the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung One UI 8 beta program to open in June

    One UI 8 beta

Samsung always organizes a beta preview before the release of a major upgrade. It will not be different with the One UI 8, as a recent report suggests a beta program is likely to start next month. There’s no official confirmation for this report, and we do not expect any until release time.

With Samsung planning on releasing the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in July pre-installed with Android 16 based on One UI 8, it’s possible they will start the beta preview before the debut of the Foldables. According to Tarun Vats, Samsung is likely to start the beta preview in June. The program will take a few months, and hopefully, we will see some of the new additions.

Nonetheless, One UI 8 will bring Android 16 to eligible users, and according to recent reports, the update will not introduce many user-facing changes. Samsung will probably focus on improving performance and resolving any issues.

Samsung phones eligible for One UI 8 beta program

Samsung has yet to announce eligible phones, but we have a list. We expect the Galaxy S25 series to start the beta preview, followed by the current Foldables phones. More devices will join the beta program towards the stable release time. Meanwhile, you can check for eligible phones for the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 here.

We hope there won’t be delays with the One UI 8 rollout after the struggles of One UI 7. There have been reports of a possible One UI 8.5 release, meaning the upcoming update will arrive on time.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 update is now rolling out

Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 update is now rolling out

You might think we are already in May as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 starts rolling out. Samsung has both devices on the May release plan, but the rollout has been pushed forward, albeit only in select regions.

Samsung plans to finalize the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update around June. A handful of phones will get the upgrade that time, but the 2022 Foldables were not supposed to get the update until next month. And just like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Fold 4 is now getting the much-anticipated upgrade.

Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 7 to these devices in its home country. The duo was expected to get the upgrade next month, but that could be for other regions. At the time of this report, only units sold in South Korea are getting an upgrade to Android 15 with stable One UI 7.

The update is rolling out with version number F721NKSU6HYD9 and weighs about 4.3 GB. You might consider using Wi-Fi to install the build. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete changelog but expect some UI tweaks and optimization. There might be a few AI introductions and other features.

Meanwhile, the update bumps the Android security patch level to April 2025. It resolved over 40 security vulnerabilities to improve the security of the device. We recommend installing the upgrade when prompted, or you can manually check for it.

How to download Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 stable One UI 7 update

Samsung has stopped sending a notification when a new update is available for download. You need to go into Settings>>System updates>>Download and install to download the update. There is a chance you will not see it, and that’s fine, as OTAs take time to arrive for all eligible phones.

It’s possible the upgrade has not arrived in your region yet or a wider rollout has not started. In any case, we recommend checking back after a few days. Additionally, it will allow time for early adopters to review the build, ensuring there are no issues.

Meanwhile, if you have managed to install the update on your device, you can leave feedback for others to either download or ignore the upgrade.

  • Android Auto 14.3 beta update is now available for download

Android Auto 14.3 beta update is now available for download

Google continues to refine Android Auto as they start rolling out a new update. Android Auto 14.3 beta is exclusive to testers, but you can side-load the APK. Hence, you do not have to wait for the stable release. However, you might wait for a wider release as there are no new changes coming with the latest release.

Android Auto has been getting new updates every few weeks for the past months. These updates do not bring new user-facing changes, but they are necessary to keep the app running smoothly. There are reports about issues, and with these updates, some are fixed, and that is exactly what Google is doing with the Android Auto 14.3 beta build.

What is new on Android Auto 14.3 beta update

    Android Auto update

It has not been long since Android Auto 14.2 landed in the stable channel. No changes were spotted on the build, meaning we are not expecting any on the next build. It turns out to be true, although some strings have been seen to suggest the introduction of local media controls.

Google has been working on a deep integration with Android Auto and the vehicle. They want users to control their vehicle’s functionalities without exiting Android Auto. Nevertheless, we cannot say for sure what the strings “Play,” “Stop,” and “Settings” are, as there is no context. Hopefully, the next build will give us more insight into what Google is planning.

Nonetheless, there have been bug fixes and improvements. If you are experiencing any issues before the new release, we recommend installing the latest build, as some bugs have been resolved.

How to download Android Auto 14.3 beta update

    Android Auto 14.3 beta APK

Google is rolling out the update via the Play Store, but you will not see it if you are not part of the beta program. The build weighs 6.81MB and has a version number v14.3.151744. You need Android 8.0+ to run the app smoothly.

How to install Android Auto 14.3 APK

Luckily, you do not need much to install the APK file if you are not part of the beta program. You can download the build via this link. After downloading, follow the steps below to complete the installation.

    • Head to your download folder
    • Tap on the APK file to start the installation
    • Follow the screen prompts to complete it. If you are ever asked to allow installation from unknown sources, please accept to proceed.
    • After that, launch the app.

Meanwhile, there might be a few glitches since the build is still in beta. While we recommend waiting for a stable release, you can uninstall the beta version and move to a more stable build.

  • A new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update is now rolling out

A new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update is now rolling out

Samsung One UI 7 update has only arrived for a handful of phones. Most of these devices are in South Korea, and while we expect an expansion to other markets, a new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update has been released. It’s probably the last beta update for the device.

The stable One UI 7 update is widely available, but only a handful of phones are getting it. We expect the A-series to join the party, but it seems the build is not ready, as a new beta build was released for the A55. It is currently the only phone in the series testing One UI 7, and perhaps some issues need to be resolved before the stable release.

Details of the new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update

new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta

The build is available in India and comes with firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD7. The update size is 335.25MB. It comes with a few bug fixes: lightning on the battery icon, camera dual recording not available, and call disconnection when listening to MP3. Interestingly, the May 2025 security patch tags along to improve system security and resolve any security flaws.

    Complete changes

    Bugs that have been fixed

Fixed the ‘Lightning’ icon in the battery icon

Fixed an issue that is focused with any icon

when selected as a double tab in SIM icon change

Fixed Camera Dual Recording Unavailable Pop-up issue of a particular path

Fixed the issue of disconnection when receiving a call while listening to MP3 after connecting to a specific hearing aid

    • Many other improvements

It’s probably the last beta build before the stable release, but one can never be sure. Galaxy S23 received only two beta builds, while Galaxy S24 received five. Hence, we cannot say whether the current Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update is the last. Nonetheless, we recommend installing the upgrade for a seamless transition to a stable build if you are part of the program.

Stable Galaxy A55 One UI 7 update

There is a chance the update starts to roll out in other regions tomorrow. You are never sure about Samsung especially as different countries have different releases scheduled. However, we do not expect the rollout till, at least next month, given the official release plan.

Meanwhile, there’s a chance we see the rollout start in some region before the scheduled date since each country seems to have a different release date. Hopefully, there won’t be an issue with the current build, as that will determine how fast Samsung releases the upgrade.

  • Unable to download One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24 series

Unable to download One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24 series

Like other major upgrades, One UI 7 has its issues. The rollout started a few weeks ago but halted due to a problem with screen unlocking, but that seems to have been addressed. Samsung started the rollout again in Europe, but many users, especially Galaxy S24 series, are unable to download One UI 7.

A major software upgrade is one of the hardest things for smartphone companies, given that testing. Something might go wrong, resulting in the brand spending millions to fix the issue. That is why OTAs are staged to contain such scenarios. While a bug forced Samsung to stop the initial rollout, the problem this time might be server overload.

Users unable to download One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24

Earlier today, Samsung resumed the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series in Europe. Given that many people were expecting the update, it was not long before many moved to download it. Unfortunately, the experience has not been great, as many of them cannot download the update.

We have seen multiple reports on Reddit, X, and other social media platforms. They are about the same issue “Couldn’t install the update.” You would go about your business and try later, but that is not the case. This message keeps popping up, making it difficult to use the device.

What is causing the issue – Couldn’t install the update

Samsung has not said anything about the problem, but it could be due to server overload. Perhaps many people are queuing to download the update, then the error message.

We know it is not a serious problem and will get better with time, but it is not an issue we expect to hear about One UI 7. If you are experiencing this and are sure your cellular or Wi-Fi network is stable, you should try these fixes below.

How to fix unable to install One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24

Many people have been able to install the One UI 7 update on their Galaxy S24 after experiencing this issue. What they did was pause the update’s download process, restart their phone, and then start the download again. As usual, not everyone sees a positive outcome doing that, but you can at least try.

Another solution is to download the update using Smart Switch. Or wait for a few days, and hopefully, there will be less traffic on the server, allowing the download to go smoothly.

  • One UI 8.5 to debut with the Galaxy S26 series

One UI 8.5 to debut with the Galaxy S26 series

Samsung might have only started the wider rollout of the stable One UI 7 update, but it has not limited the development of future versions. We already know the company will not be rolling out a One UI 7.1.1 build, and they are already working on One UI 8. Meanwhile, work has started on One UI 8.5, a return of a point upgrade, but we are still months away from a possible release.

Samsung took time to develop One UI 7 due to all the changes that are coming with the build. That probably led to the cancellation of the One UI 7.1.1 upgrade, but it’s likely to return with the launch of the Galaxy S26. The series will arrive in January, so there’s still time for the development and possibly release.

What we know about One UI 8.5

    Samsung One UI 8.5

Samsung has not commented on the report and we do not expect anything from them. Nevertheless, we understand they are working on One UI 8.5 to debut with the Galaxy S26 series. According to ICE Universe, the plan is to align One UI X with the latest Android build for its newest Foldables and One UI X.5 for its flagship S series.

That looks like the deal since reports of Samsung debuting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 with Android 16-based One UI 8. The duo will arrive in July, a few weeks after the official release by Google. If that’s the case, moving forward, the latest S-series flagships will debut with a new One UI build, the same with Foldables, but only the latter will come with a new Android OS.

    Features of One UI 8.5

With AI beginning to dominate smartphone features, One UI 8.5 will be expanding on that. We understand Samsung will introduce more Artificial intelligence with the build, but we do not know for sure what they will be. It’s still early to say as the company has not even finalized the development of One UI 8.

It’s fair to say that One UI 8.5 is still in early development and no features of the build are known yet. We believe after the release of Android 16, which it will be based on, we will get to know more. Of course, that will arrive on Samsung phones with One UI 8, expected to come pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.

When is One UI 8.5 rolling out?

    Android 16 logo

If the reports are true, we expect Android 16-based One UI 8.5 to debut in January. The Galaxy S25 arrived pre-installed with Android 15-based One UI 7, and we expect the Galaxy S26 to debut with One UI 8.5. Hence, we expect One UI 8.5 to arrive in January 2026, though it might take a few weeks after that to arrive on other eligible phones.

  • Galaxy S23 One UI 7 stable update is now rolling out

Galaxy S23 One UI 7 stable update is now rolling out

Samsung started the stable One UI 7 rollout earlier this month but had to halt the release due to some issues. We thought the delay would affect the timeframe for other devices, especially the Galaxy S23. The device was expected to receive the upgrade on April 22, but everything is still moving as planned.

Samsung has released the Galaxy S23 One UI 7 stable update. While it was Canadian units that were supposed to get that upgrade today, according to reports, though that might still happen, it’s those in South Korea reporting the arrival of the much-anticipated upgrade. Samsung has focused on beta testers, but we expect a wider rollout soon.

Samsung is rolling out a stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S23 series in South Korea. The update has a version number S91xNKSU6DYD9 and weighs about 5GB. However, those who participated in the beta preview are getting around a 1GB package. While introducing all the supported One UI 7 features, the update bumps the Android security patch level to April 2025 to resolve security flaws.

Samsung has redesigned the UI with new app icons, new widget styling, and additional widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. Animation has improved, while additional AI features were introduced. Of course, there have been bug fixes and system optimizations, but be sure to backup your data before installing the upgrade.

How to download Galaxy S23 One UI 7 stable update

Samsung is currently rolling out the update to those who participated in the beta preview. It will not be long before everyone starts getting it, but we think they might delay it to ensure the build is free from any issues. Nevertheless, you can check for the update via Settings>>Software update>>Download and install.

The update is rolling out for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. If you cannot see the update, your region or device is not getting it yet. It might take a few days before arriving on all eligible Galaxy S23 devices.

How to download Galaxy S23 One UI 7 firmware

Unfortunately, there is no available link to download the firmware just yet. We recommend waiting for review before installing the update, especially after the initial delays due to some bugs. Nonetheless, we will update this post to include the download link when it becomes available.

  • Android Auto 14.2 stable update is now available for everyone

Android Auto 14.2 stable update is now available for everyone

It has only been a few days since Google released a new beta build to beta testers. The build is now making its way to everyone as Android Auto 14.2 stable. As usual, the rollout is via the Play Store, but you can download the Android Auto 14.2 stable APK file from the link below and install it manually.

A handful of updates have been released for Android Auto in the past few weeks. While each release mainly focuses on bug fixes and optimization, the last two builds have introduced gaming support while highlighting new features coming to Android Auto. Unfortunately, there is no changelog with the latest update, but Google has some interesting things coming up.

New additions coming with Android Auto 14.2 stable update

    Android Auto 14.2 stable update
    Android Auto 14.2 beta

Because the update did not have a changelog, it is hard to say what changes it brings. Nevertheless, it has resolved issues and optimized performance while hinting at upcoming Android Auto features.

Google mentioned smart glass navigation in the code. The company is working on smart glasses support for the navigation system. It will be easy for drivers to keep up with the route without looking at their car screen by relying on the guidance of a smart glass.

We do not know when the feature will become available, but we have seen some arrive without any announcement. Hence, we expect the release in the coming weeks unless it’ll be tied to Android 16, which will roll out in June. If that’s the case then the support for smart glasses will arrive that time.

We have also seen a line of code in the past builds suggesting temperature controls. The plan is to allow drivers access to the air conditioning system without leaving the Android Auto interface. We have seen many car brands move controls to the screen. Once the integration is completed, it will be easy to control the car’s temperature without leaving Android Auto.

Again, these features are still in development, and we do not know when they will become available for users if at all they will make it. Yes, not all features that get tested make it to users, some are abandoned, but we hope it won’t be the case.

How to download Android Auto 14.2 stable update

Google is rolling out the Android Auto 14.2 stable via the Play Store. Luckily, you do not have to be part of the beta program to install the update. Just use this link to access the build, which is about 37MB.

How to install Android Auto 14.2 stable APK

Those who want to install the APK file can download it with this link. It weighs 31.9MB. After downloading the file, tap the three dots and select Save to Downloads. Locate the file in your download folder and click on it to start the installation. Once that’s done, launch the app.
