While Google is working on the next iteration of Android OS, they are still delivering a new security patch update at the beginning of the month. The April 2025 security patch for Pixel phones is now live with bug fixes, security patches, and system optimizations.

The update size is about 49.26MB and is available for the Pixel 6 up to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Interestingly, the Pixel 9a is getting the update as well, which will improve the device’s performance as it recently arrived on the shelves.
