Samsung One UI 7 update has only arrived for a handful of phones. Most of these devices are in South Korea, and while we expect an expansion to other markets, a new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update has been released. It’s probably the last beta update for the device.
The stable One UI 7 update is widely available, but only a handful of phones are getting it. We expect the A-series to join the party, but it seems the build is not ready, as a new beta build was released for the A55. It is currently the only phone in the series testing One UI 7, and perhaps some issues need to be resolved before the stable release.
Details of the new Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update

The build is available in India and comes with firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD7. The update size is 335.25MB. It comes with a few bug fixes: lightning on the battery icon, camera dual recording not available, and call disconnection when listening to MP3. Interestingly, the May 2025 security patch tags along to improve system security and resolve any security flaws.
Complete changes
Bugs that have been fixed
Fixed the ‘Lightning’ icon in the battery icon
Fixed an issue that is focused with any icon
when selected as a double tab in SIM icon change
Fixed Camera Dual Recording Unavailable Pop-up issue of a particular path
Fixed the issue of disconnection when receiving a call while listening to MP3 after connecting to a specific hearing aid
- Many other improvements
It’s probably the last beta build before the stable release, but one can never be sure. Galaxy S23 received only two beta builds, while Galaxy S24 received five. Hence, we cannot say whether the current Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta update is the last. Nonetheless, we recommend installing the upgrade for a seamless transition to a stable build if you are part of the program.
Stable Galaxy A55 One UI 7 update
There is a chance the update starts to roll out in other regions tomorrow. You are never sure about Samsung especially as different countries have different releases scheduled. However, we do not expect the rollout till, at least next month, given the official release plan.
Meanwhile, there’s a chance we see the rollout start in some region before the scheduled date since each country seems to have a different release date. Hopefully, there won’t be an issue with the current build, as that will determine how fast Samsung releases the upgrade.
